Sanction Criteria
1. Hosts should apply for sanctioning to the Show Me Stock Dog League approximately sixty days prior to the trial date. This is to allow adequate time for insurance processing, if location property endorsement is requested.
2. If event hosts wish property liability insurance endorsement though the League’s policy, a fee of $50 must accompany this sanction application, and the exact geographical site and dates must be included. (This fee all goes to the insurance company.)
3. Sanctioning approval and confirmation of insurance, if applicable, will be sent in writing to the host, along with a copy of the event criteria, membership list, by-laws, and sample score sheet. Three dry erase scoreboards are available to the host. Duplicate score sheets can also be provided.
4. The trial host will be responsible for submitting, in writing, the complete final placings of each class to the SMSDL Sec/Treasurer within 30 days of their event. The list must include each dog, handler, and their score, including retires and DQ’s. This information will be kept by the League Secretary until the point year is completed. The host will be responsible for keeping the original score sheet until the point year is completed.
5. All sanctioned events must conform to the rules and regulations of the Show Me Stock Dog League. Any host that allows a suspended person to participate in their event will automatically lose their sanctioning. All trial hosts requesting sanctioning will be provided a list of current members in good standing.
6. The Vice President shall serve as sanction coordinator, and maintain a list of all sanctioned trials. A list shall also be provided to the Secretary/Treasurer.
